Worship, Day Camp, Kona Ice

7/14/2021

Good morning, everyone! Thank you for being part of our church’s mission of “…making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” Here is some of what’s going on at Byers Avenue UMC…

Check out our weekly recorded Worship Services, Midweek Meditations, and other information at www.byersaveumc.org.

This Sunday, July 18th in Worship, we’ll begin a new message series on “Spiritual Gifts”. Just what are spiritual gifts, and why do we have them? Find out more this Sunday. Worship is at 10:45 a.m. Also, Children’s Church will be available during the entire service for those who would like their child(ren) to participate.

Each Sunday morning, we offer two Adult Discipleship Studies from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The Challengers meet in their classroom downstairs, while our Adult Discipleship Class meets in the Chapel outside the Worship Center. Remember, too, that we have Children’s programming available during this time in our Kids’ Crossing area downstairs. Join us for either of our Adult Discipleship Classes or for our Children’s programming and stick around for Worship!

Children’s Summer Day Camp takes place this coming Monday, July 19th through Friday, July 24th. Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and is open to children who have completed any grade from Kindergarten through 6th. We only have a few spots available, so register today. You may do so through our church website. This year’s Day Camp is in partnership with First UMC of Joplin and will be hosted at their location at 4th and Byers Avenue.

Kona Ice Celebration: In celebration of what will be a successful Summer Day Camp experience, the Kona Ice truck will make a return to Byers Avenue on Sunday, August 1st following our 10:45 a.m. service. Everyone in attendance that day will be treated to a flavored ice treat.

That’s all for now. Keep loving God and one another! And, as always, stay on mission! Have a blessed day!
