Worship, Discipleship Classes, Tree of Life, Chili Cook-off, and More!

Good morning, everyone! Thank you for being part of our church’s mission of “…making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” Here is some of what’s going on at Byers Avenue UMC…

Our weekly recorded Worship Services and other information can be found at Check out our church website and share it with friends!

Every Sunday morning, we offer two Adult Discipleship Studies from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The Challengers meet in their classroom downstairs, while our Adult Discipleship Class meets in the Chapel outside the Worship Center. Remember, too, that we have Children’s Programming available during this time in our Kids’ Crossing area downstairs. Join us for either of our Adult Discipleship Classes or for our Children’s programming and stick around for Worship!

This Sunday, January 16th in Worship, we’ll continue our current message series called “A-Z: Our Identity in Christ”. This week, “D” is for “Disciple”, “E” is for “Elect”, and “F” is for “Forgiven”. Worship is at 10:45 a.m. In addition to our Worship Service, Children’s Church will be offered during the entire hour for children who would like to attend.

We continue our support of Choices Medical Services with their Tree of Life campaign. If you took a tag to purchase an item, please return both the item and its tag to the church by this Sunday, January 16th. Thank you to Linda Stegner for coordinating this effort!

Be sure to mark your calendars for our church’s Annual Chili and Soup Cook-off and Dessert Auction! This year’s event will be held in our Family Life Center from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday, February 13th. Enter our contest or simply enjoy the food and fellowship!

Finally, I’d like to invite you to sign-up for Church Trac at the following link: Birthdays and Anniversaries can now be seen on the Upcoming Events tab on our Church Trac page. After you sign in, go to the menu in the top left corner and click on Upcoming Events.

That’s all for now. Keep loving God and one another! And, as always, stay on mission! Have a blessed day!

Pastor Chuck
